Improving life quality for the disabled and sick and their families.

  • Mentoring project for children with disabilities. Current activity of 1,000 young volunteers who are improving the life quality of the disabled and sick children.

  • Leisure Centers– The organization operates eight centers across Israel, five of which are located in the periphery - Ashdod, Ashkelon, Beer-Sheba, Kiryat Gat and Kiryat Shmona, as well as in Jerusalem and Modi'in. The centers operate two to three times a week at the afternoons. The number of children in each group is ranged between 15 and 20 children.

  • Summer Camp – the summer camp operated by Kav Lachayim is the year’s highlight for the disabled children. During six days at the camp, the children enjoy a variety of activities and attractions that are tailored to their age and limitations.

  • For the parents, this week is an opportunity to spend more time taking care their other children at home and rest a little from the daily exhausting care of the disabled child.

  • Bar / Bat Mitzvah - every year we celebrate bar and bat mitzvahs for 20 disabled and sick children, who do not get to celebrate, some due to lengthy hospitalizations and some do to the difficulties the family face with, caring the disabled child.

  • The Bar Mitzvah takes place in all its glory, along with family and friends, Since every disabled child has the right to celebrate just like everyone else.
